Below is the list of Top Performing Nursing Schools in the June 2009 Nursing Board Exam.

For the June 2009 Nurse Licensure Examination, St. Paul University- Dumaguete tops Category A (with 100 or more examinees) with a passing rate of 100%.

The top spot for Category B (with 30-99 examinees), on the other hand, goes to University of the Philippines-Manila. It is also interesting to note that aside from having a passing rate of 100%, University of the Philippines-Manila produced three examinees who got the 7th, 8th,and 10th highest ratings in the June 2009 Nursing Board Exam.

Congratulations to all new nurses!

The nursing licensure exam results has been released yesterday and part of the results is the list of topnotchers in the June 2009 Nursing Board Exam.

At the top of the list is Golda Manto Yap (86.80%) , a graduate of Felipe R. Verallo Memorial Foundation in Cebu City. Ms. Yap is closely followed by Ronie Rose Capati Arevalo of Adamson University (86.40%) and Michelle Alejandro Barberan of Arellano University- Manila (86.20%).

The Professional Regulation Commission- Board of Nursing (PRC-BON ) just released the June 2009 Nursing Board Exam Results and 33,617 out of the 77,901 nursing hopefuls passed the June 2009 Nurse Licensure Examination.

The June 2009 Nursing Board Exam topnotcher, Golda Manto Yap, is a graduate of Felipe R. Verallo Memorial Foundation. Ms. Yap, with a rating of 86.80 percent, bested other examinees in the June 2009 Nursing Board Exam.

Policies and Standards for the BSN Program Under CHED Memorandum Order No. 14 (CMO No. 14)

Effective SY 2009-2010, Philippine nursing schools and colleges shall follow the new policies and standards for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program under CHED Memorandum Order No. 14 as promulgated by the Commission on Higher Education.

Ward Class obtained a copy of the 129-page document which was published at the website of the Professional Regulation Commission- Board of Nursing and the following interesting points were noted:
Elective nursing subjects are to be taken by nursing students on the first and second semester of their 4th year. For Elective 1, nursing students can choose from Parent- Child Nursing, Spiritual Care Nursing, and Hospice Palliative Care. For Elective II, they can take Acute/Critical Care Nursing, Quality Health Care and Nursing, and Care of the Chronically Ill and the Older Person.

Partial Oathtaking Schedule for June 2009 Nurse Licensure Examination Passers

The Professional Regulation Commission- Board of Nursing, through its official website, released the partial oathtaking schedule for new nurses. The partial oathtaking schedule are as follows:

  • Manila- August 18 & 19
  • Baguio- August 21
  • Ilocos- August 22
  • Pangasinan- August 28

The June 2009 Nurse Licensure Examination Results will be released soon. Ward Class and Pinoy R.N. will be posting the complete June 2009 Nursing Board Exam Results as soon as it is available.
